Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) Director, Sahel Region

ACDI/VOCA is seeking a CLA Directorfor an upcoming Regional Resilience Activity in the Sahel region - Burkina Faso, Chad, The Gambia, and Mauritania - funded by USAID. The anticipated program seeks to expand resilience in the Sahel, improving the ability of individuals, households, and communities to mitigate, adapt to, and recover from perennial shocks and stresses.?

The CLA Director will drive stakeholder engagement, facilitate knowledge sharing, and integrate adaptive management practices to enhance the effectiveness and impact of the project. The program is anticipated to start in 2025 and this position will be based in Burkina Faso.

Responsibilities
Foster partnerships and maintain effective communication with diverse stakeholders including local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and donors to ensure alignment of program activities with local needs and priorities
Design and implement systems for monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) to track program progress, identify lessons learned, and document best practices
Lead efforts to integrate adaptive management principles into program implementation, enabling timely adjustments in strategies and activities based on MEL findings and changing contextual factors
Provide technical assistance and capacity building support to program staff and partners on CLA approaches and tools
Curate and disseminate program-related knowledge products, including case studies, success stories, and technical resources, to promote learning and knowledge sharing among stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in international development, evaluation, statistics, or relevant field is required; master’s degree is desired.
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience managing the CLA component of a donor-funded project.
Knowledge of and experience with USAID rules and regulations preferred.
Proven experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, survey design and implementation, and statistical data analysis is required.??
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with activity stakeholders: donors, partners, local government institutions, local communities, and vulnerable groups.?
Experience working in Burkina Faso preferred.
Fluency in French required; English strongly desired.
