Your Profile

Engineering or Finance background preferred to Master’s level.
5+ years’ experience developing applications using C#/Python
2+ years’ experience developing public cloud solutions (PaaS, preferably AWS)
4+ years’ experience in the Gas and Power trading with a high data analysis component
Experienced in Data modelling, data analysis using Python/SQL
Experience working in a complex, integrated commercial environment
Delivery focus, attention to details
A team player who works well with internal team(s), partners, and external stakeholders.
Forward looking individual with the ability to work autonomously while being well organised.
Fluent in English and secondary language is essential – French, Spanish, and Italian.

Activités
What you will do:

As a Senior Tech Lead, you will be part of the Energy Data Management team and report to the Head of Energy Data Management. Thus, your main responsibilities will be the following:

Main point of contact for all Tech / IT topics.
Interface with IT development teams on the requirements of the Energy Data Management system for connection of external sources and integration into in-house/off-the-shelf systems.
Responsible for maintaining and updating DataGalaxy (Data Catalog).
Define and implement governance rules for technical tools usage and development within the team (Alteryx workflows, Power Bi dashboards, Python scripts, etc.).
Ensure the governance rules for the development of technical tools are effectively communicated and shared among both local and global teams.
Work in coordination with DIT/QTA/Performance and other tech literate teams to align good practices and share knowledge.
Supervise, assist, and train team members in the development of advanced analytical tools team (Alteryx workflows, Power Bi dashboards, Python scripts, etc.).
Specify, design, and implement digital initiatives and advanced analytical tools to improve operational efficiency and analytics within the team.
Contribute to improve data capture, data analytics and data visualization within the team.

Contexte et environnement
Energy Data Management team consists of 8 FTE based in Geneva and is managing all detailed data supplied by 45 market system operators and providers, within 10 markets on power and gas, in a centralised database portal to calculate imbalances and costs associated with physical trades on behalf of the 40-market access affiliated contracts of TotalEnergies. The Energy Data Management team is responsible for the data retrieval and quality analysis, reconciliation, P&L explanation, and invoice-able amount of nearly 1.8 billion Euros from these group affiliated contracts a year with growth expected. The team supports the development of the business across further markets and less-carbonised commodities by developing an Energy Data Hub in which the Product Owner of the team works with the developer to ensure the safe reception and implementation of currently 50 million data points a year into the hub with growth expected.



The team is the direct liaison to the market system operators to ensure the on-boarding assets onto TotalEnergies balancing perimeters and is responsible for continuous data collection from different sources, data comparison, check, cleaning and enables a seamless and flexible single access to accurate and robust data in which it is then shared with our internal and external stakeholders. The Energy Data Management team is accountable for collaborating with relevant departments on ensuring accuracy of data while implementing into the trading system and reviewing robustness of all internal systems as it relates to this data.

A Senior Tech Lead is responsible for promoting a technical culture within the team and is acting as the Product Owner of the Energy Data Management system.
