Join TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC as a Land Manager reporting to our Austin, TX office. This is a new opening to our team as we are strengthening our presence in renewable energies.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree preferred (waived with applicable experience)
Certified Professional Landman (preferred)
5+ years’ experience in all phases of Title; Abstracts, Curative, and Contract negotiations.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Willing to travel to the Courthouse to produce Runsheet and Mineral Ownership Reports.
Ability to calculate complex net mineral acreages.
Willing to travel to meet with Mineral owners for the purpose of obtaining surface waivers.
Ability to work independently with a high level of self-motivation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and mapping software.
A committed team player with excellent communication skills
Strong reporting and project management skills; and
Shared vision of the importance of renewable energy market growth and sustainability.

Activités
The Land Manager has three primary areas of responsibility: (1) providing a high-level screening assessment of mineral complexity for prospective projects utilizing publicly available resources; (2) Mineral Ownership Reports (MORs); and (3) negotiating mineral accommodation agreements.
Third parties are frequently utilized for performing MORs and negotiating mineral accommodation agreements. Land Manager is responsible for managing these third parties, which entails procuring the work, monitoring contract budget, reviewing deliverables, and identifying curative issues (e.g. active wells, HBP.)
On an ad hoc basis, the Land Manager will be responsible for independently researching County Records to determine Mineral Ownership by utilizing online databases or travel to the local county courthouse to review county records, as well as independently negotiating mineral accommodation agreements (in coordination with VP Real Estate and Project Development Manager).
Perform early-stage diligence on greenfield projects for potential mineral complexities (via Texas Railroad Commission, logbooks)
Managing third parties
Researching Courthouse Records for the purpose of producing a Mineral Ownership Report.
Coordinating curing identified defects in title.
Working with project development team and GIS to produce mineral tract maps and mineral set aside maps to be approved by title.
Negotiating surface waivers (Accommodation Agreements) with identified mineral owners.
Coordinating with the Real Estate and Development Teams on mineral tract locations.
Keep CRM and Project Management Software up to date for assigned duties.
Hybrid schedule
Willing to Travel throughout the U.S. as needed (~ 10-20%)
